The Moroccan Shipping Company (COMANAV) ensures passengers transport;its main office is settled 7, Boulevard de la Résistance, Casablanca (Morocco). Edlane Viaggi SRL is the Comanav General Agent in Italy in charge of tickets sales. Its main office is located Via Panaro 14, Monterotondo – Roma (Italy).
This present agreement is governed by the laws of the shipowner’s house flag. For each ticket issuing, listed passengers and shipped vehicles owners hereby consent the general terms and conditions of carriage hereunder. All conditions are also viewable close to our ports of departure and issuing travel agencies.
BOOKINGS
In observance of all European Community directives and regulations in effect, we recommend our passengers to provide us with the completest information whenever needing any specific care or urgent assistance on board while booking.
For special offers and onboard registrations, we both need your personal information and vehicle details whenever booking. Personal information required are surname, name, sex, date of birth, number of passport. Vehicle details required are make, type and number plate.
These information will not be used at any another aim.
Requests of booking are considered promissory and binding agreements. Tickets are strictly personal, neither negotiable nor transferable. Changes of passenger’s name and surname are therefore not accepted. Once ordered, tickets have to be entirely paid :
- At least 60 days prior to the departure in very high season (June 26th to August 15th)
- At least 30 days prior to the departure in any other period.
Should a passenger require to modify or cancel a booking, he would pay a compensation for file processing, and penalties if not communicated in due time and form. See below
IMPORTANT : Passengers shipping their vehicle to Morocco must state its exact make and dimensions when booking their own seat/berth on the boat. As a consequence of such a misstatement, the vehicle would not be shipped to Morocco and its owner would loose all rights to his ticket refund.
CANCELLATION PENALTIES
“Open return” tickets : 10% of the selling price is charged (except duties)
Tickets with fixed date (special offers not included) :
- Beyond 72 hours prior to departure : 10% of selling price
- From 72 to 48 hours prior to departure : 30 % of selling price
- From 48 to 24 hours prior to departure : : 50 % of selling price
- Below 24 hours prior to departure : 100 % of selling price
These deadlines are including solely workdays to the exclusion of weekends and legal holidays. Penalties are calculated on the base of standard fares whenever concerning partial cancellation of any special offer or any ticket with return
Passengers must communicate any cancellation in due time through our officers or travel agencies mandated by Comanav in sending a request by fax to the following number : +0039 069066545.
Passengers canceling three working days or less prior to departure would have to pay the foreseen penalties hereinabove. In the event of a very late cancellation, tickets will not be refunded.
To get a valid cancellation, we recommend passengers to adress to Comanav offices and issuing travel agencies which affix the ticket with the official stamp attesting when the reservation has been canceled.
Requests for refund must be adressed to the issuing travel agency, presenting the ticket provided with the official stamp, day and hour proving when it has been canceled.
The refundable amount is determinated according to all rules stated hereinabove.
Some special offers with fixed dates of departure are not refundable.
Passengers arriving in a hurry at check-in due to whatever difficulty to reach the port (illness, accident, traffic jam, breakdown, etc.) will not be reimbursed. Such difficulties are not considered as valid arguments to get the ticket refund.
RECONFIRMATION OF RETURN
To avoid any risk of cancellation, we strongly recommend our passengers to reconfirm their return effectiveness for each ticket with return. This reconfirmation has to be made at least a week before the date of departure, through either your issuing travel agency or our call center which number is + 212 223012. We give no guarantee of onboard availability to passengers which would not have reconfirmed their return.
AVAILABILITY
Issued individual tickets are neither negotiable nor assignable. They are available only for the person which name and surname are listed thereon. Passengers must exhibit their documents and tickets for check-in and on any officer request.
Loss or theft of the ticket must be immediately declared as soon as possible to the nearest Police Authorities and to your issuing travel agency. Such a reimbursement will occur at least one year and one day after the date of departure within two conditions :
- the stolen/lost ticket has not been used within this deadline
- the exhibition of the Comanav ticket bought to replace it
MODIFICATIONS
Each booking can be modified just once to the exception of non-modifiable offers. Whenever availability makes it possible, we accept modifications prior to the cutoff of three working days before departure for a consideration of 10 euros (compensative of all relative expenses). Otherwise, penalties would also be charged as specified hereinabove.
Passengers are also accountable for differences in the price due to modifications, and therefore charged for it.
BOOKING EXPENSES

FARES
Getting a cabin in exclusive use is only possible in low and medium season if available.
Reduced fares for Moroccan workers, students and young people under 26s are available.
The special offer « 04 adults with 01 vehicle » is only available for 4 adults traveling together (same day, same boat) with only one vehicle to ship. (02 paying children = 01 adult).
Reduced fares for Tickets with return are available for all kind of passengers and vehicles to the condition of booking the outward and the return at the same time. An “open return” is quoted the fare of two outwards together with a premium of 10% on the return fare.
Groups fare on request : please ask for a quotation.
LIABILITY
The Moroccan Shipping Company (COMANAV) and Edlane Viaggi will not be liable for possible damages occuring to passengers during the crossing or for any damage, expense and/or inconvenience caused by any missed/late departure due to meteorological conditions, technical/mechanical breakdowns, any other kind of Acts of God, any force majeure events, or any unforseen and unusual circumstances resulting to COMANAV such as strikes, quarantine, wars or whatever other, etc.
Passengers are responsible of their baggage and all its content. Cruises duration is calculated on the base of the effective distance between ports in optimal meteorological conditions. Therefore, they are not promissory but indicative elements. Passengers cannot claim in case of late departures due to the Port Authorities.
CHECK-IN
Foot passengers are stongly recommended to check-in at least 2 hours prior to departure.
Passengers shipping their vehicle with them to Morocco are strongly recommended to check-in at least 3 hours prior to departure. Prior to boarding, vehicles alarms and anti-roberry systems must be deactivate. Vehicle owners must board and land their vehicles by their own; otherwise, their cars and/or motorbikes will be shipped as freight as well as vans transporting other than only baggage.
Passengers must respect check-in deadlines to retain their reservation. In case of late arrival, all rights to be hold their seat or berth would be considered lost, even when owning an issued ticket. Over-06-months pregnant women will be refused at boarding. In any case, the acceptation of pregnant on board is submitted to a medical checking led on board by Comanav medical staff.
ANIMALS
To get any cat or dog admitted on board, passengers must present a veterinarian certificate delivered maximum 8 days prior to departure. Passengers should indicate if boarding any animal with them while booking : a specific fare has to be paid. No animal could be boarded without previous payment of this fare. Once admitted on board, animals must be confined in the accurate room.
BAGGAGE
Personal items are accepted if necessary for the crossing and in the limit of 60 Kg per passenger. Those let in cars and those carried on car roofs are exempted of extra charges when not exceeding 02 meters high. Passengers are responsible for baggage and accessories let in their cars. Edlane Viaggi and Comanav will not be liable in case of whatever damage.
VEHICLE DOCUMENTS
Passengers owning a vehicle shipped to Morocco must show valid insurance and registration certificates for outwards as well as returns. This former car registration certificate and the car insurance one must be valid for all the period of stay from departure to return in Italy. Any vehicle without certificate at any moment of the stay will be refused at boarding.
ATTENTION: The Italian Police Authorities frequently ask passengers shipping their vehicle to show valid certificates for outwards and returns. Any passenger unable to show these valid certificates will loose all rights to board the vehicle. No ticket will be refunded in such cases.
SECURITY CONTROLS
In observance of the International anti-terrorism ISPS Code, passengers must present a valid ticket and document whenever an official COMANAV agent asks for it. Should it be necessary to check baggage, passengers would be strongly recommended to cooperate with both our agents and Port Authorities.
